What does our Custom Hypnosis Recording service look like?
Let's explore the difference between hypnosis and affirmation recordings:
Hypnosis Session Recordings
These hypnosis recordings are full hypnosis sessions — in recorded form! This means that each hypnosis recording contains a trance induction designed to guide you into the altered state of consciousness known as "trance."
Because of this, it is important to use your custom hypnosis recording only when it is safe to close your eyes and completely relax.
A hypnosis recording, like most hypnosis sessions, has a beginning, middle, and end.
The beginning is called the induction, which guides you into trance. There may also be a deepening, which guides you even deeper into your unconscious mind.
The middle is where most of the active healing and exploration happens. There may be positive suggestions, or a guided journey, or guided visualization.
The end is what we like to call the "un-duction," or the wakening phase. This is when you are guided out of trance and back to a fully wakeful state of consciousness.
Sleep Hypnosis Recordings
We also offer a special kind of hypnosis recording called sleep hypnosis recordings. These are longer and softer than our standard hypnosis recordings.
They don't have an unduction phase. This means that there is no wakening — because they are meant to be listened to as you are falling asleep!
Listening to one of our sleep hypnosis recordings is an excellent way to reprogram your mind and install new beliefs while your conscious mind is completely out of the way.
Affirmation Recordings
Affirmation recordings are essentially the middle of a hypnosis recording. There is no trance induction and no trance unduction. There are only positive affirmations. This means that you can listen to them whenever and wherever you choose!
Our affirmation recordings have 2 main parts:
- In the first part, Rev. Devin speaks your personalized positive affirmations, and you simply listen along.
- In the second part, Rev. Devin speaks your affirmations and also guides you to repeat along with him.
Speaking your affirmations in your own voice is an important part of the process of reprogramming your mind.
How do I get my Custom Recording?
If you are already working with The Mindful Mage and Rev. Devin already knows you, then we may already have enough information to make your custom recording. This is definitely the case if you are receiving our Hypnotherapy service, because custom recordings come with that service.
If you have not worked with The Mindful Mage yet and you want to purchase a custom recording, then all you need to do is leave a note when you're checking out in our store.
Your note must have the following information:
- Your full name and pronunciation
- Whichever pronouns you use to refer to yourself
- Why you want a custom recording and any other relevant information to help Rev. Devin make the best recording for you
- That's it!
If we need more information or clarification, Rev. Devin will follow up with you via email, text, or phone call.

40–60-Minute Hypnosis Recording — $100
90–120-Minute Sleep Hypnosis Recording — $120
20–30-Minute Affirmation Recording — cannot be purchased separately. Affirmation Recordings are available as add-ons in our hypnosis recording bundles.
